This article will discuss how to configure Goal Plans.
In order to begin using the Goal Plan feature, it must first be configured. Goal Plans are configured via the Application Catalog. Once in the Application Catalog, click ‘View’ next to Goal Plan in the Features listview.
To begin configuring a new Goal Plan, click ‘Create New Goal Plan Template’ in the left hand sidebar.
Start by giving the Goal Plan an appropriate Title.
The Active field defaults to ‘Yes’, and determines whether or not the Goal Plan will be Active and usable.
The ‘Has Review?’ field sets whether or not the Goal Plan will have a built-in Review process.
The ‘Has Goal Categories?’ field sets whether or not the Goal Plan you are creating will have Categories within the Goal Plan.
If ‘Has Goal Categories?’ is set to ‘Yes’ then a Goal Categories toggler row will appear where you can enter in the name of each Category you are creating.
The ‘Goals Predefined?’ field set whether or not the Goals of the plan will be predefined, or added freehand when creating a Goal Plan on a case.
The ‘Has Goal Steps?’ field sets whether or not the Goal will have steps that need to be completed when working towards the goal.
If the ‘Goals Predefined?’ field has been set to ‘Yes’, then the ‘Steps Predefined?’ field will appear. If this field is set to ‘Yes’, then you will be able to predefine the goal steps per Goal.
After you have configured all the required fields on that screen, click the ‘Save and Add Goal Template’ button to continue on to configuring Goal templates within the Goal Plan, or click ‘Save and View’ to view the Goal Plan that you have just created.
After clicking ‘Save and Add Goal Template’ you will be prompted to create the Goal Templates.
First, select the Category you want the template to be associated with.
Next, set the Goal Title.
The Active field defaults to ‘Yes’, and determines whether or not the Template will be Active and usable.
Next, if you are predefining the Steps for the Goal, you can configure them here. Simply give the step a title, and use the toggler row to add as many steps as needed.
The List Order will automatically increase with each step you add. List Order simply determines the order in which the steps will appear.
The Active field determines whether the step is Active or not. By default it is set to ‘Yes’, but can be changed to ‘No’ later on if you want to remove a step from a Goal Plan Template.
Once you have filled out the desired information on this screen, you can click “Save and Add Another Goal Template” to save your current template and create another one, or you can click “Save and View Plan Template” to save the template you are working on.
After clicking ‘Save and View Plan Template”, you will be taken to the Goal Plan Template Information page, where you can review the contents of the Goal Plan you just created.
