This article will discuss the process of requesting a Sign-off for a Case in Collaborate.
Case Sign-offs are requested via the case profile page of the case that needs to be signed-off. Request a Sign-off by clicking on the appropriate “Request [Sign-off Type] Sign-off” link under Case Actions in the left hand sidebar.
You will now be directed to the Create Sign-off Request page.
First, the Requested By field lets the Reviewer of the Sign-off know who requested the sign-off. By default, it is set to the individual creating the Sign-off Request, but it can be updated as needed.
The Sign-Off Type field allows you to set the Type of the request, if multiple Types are available.
The Sign-off Queue field allows you to place the Sign-off Request into the Queue instead of sending it to a specific Reviewer.
The Sign-off User field allows you to select which User you would like to review the Sign-off request. Select the appropriate User here.
The Display Banner field allows you to set whether or not the Sign-off Request will appear as a banner at the top of the Case Profile page. It is recommended that this is left as “Yes”.
Lastly, the Add Sign-off note text area can be used to let the reviewer know any details or information about the Sign-Off request you are sending their way.
Once you have filled out the fields on the Sign-Off Request page, click “Save Sign-off and Continue”.
Your Sign-off Request will now appear as a banner at the top of the Case Profile page.
The Sign-off can also be found in the Sign-offs listview at the bottom of the Case profile page.
Lastly, the “My Sign-offs Requested” listview will appear on your homepage, listing the sign-offs that you have requested.
